Dear Editor,
Through the colums of your esteemed daily (name of newspaper), I would like to draw the
attention of frequent breakdown of electricity in our locality. As a result, people have
to face a lot of inconvenience as the whole area is thrown into darkness and the power
supply is not restored for hours. The students preparing for the examinations are the
worst sufferers as they cannot concentrate on studies, and the weak and old people too
suffer a lot. It also gives impetus to anti-social elements who become more active
when it is completely dark.
We have lodged many complaints with the concerned electricity authority, but in vain. We
want, through the publication of this letter in your esteemed daily, to compel the higher
authorities to initiate expeditious action.
