Dear Editor,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw the attention of the
railway authorities to the rampant corruption prevalent in the railways. At the ticket
windows, tickets are not available for many destinations, especially for the long distance
trains. However, by paying extra money to the touts, one can get tickets easily. Moreover,
one is able to get a berth by paying extra money to the TTE.
Keeping the above in view, I appeal to the authorities that they should initiate punitive
action against the corrupt railway officials and get the touts arrested so that the
travelers are not discomforted.
