Dear Uncle
I
am extremely glad to write in this letter an account of the experiences of my trekking
expedition. I saw such scenes of Nature for the first time.
We
reported at base camp. The first two days were spent in acclimatisation and elementary
rock climbing. The next day we trekked to Jana which is 12 kms from the base camp, Raison.
The following day we reached Matikochar, 15 kms from Jana.
The
trek lay between rocks covered with a lot of greenery and trees. The Beas River flowed
nearby. Matikochar is at a height of 5,500 ft. The next day, we started our trek early in
the morning and reached Pinni after crossing Bringta Bridge.
After
a day's rest, we trekked to Chhalal, 13 kms from Pinni. On our way we saw some rare birds
and marvelous green meadows. It was a grand spectacle of Nature in pristine glory. The
next day we reached Manikaran Hot Water Springs. It is a real miracle of Nature. The water
gurgles as if boiling. People say this water has medicinal powers. The next day we trekked
back to Raison. It was really a wonderful experience of my life and will remain in my
memory for ever. And all this was possible because of your support.
Pay
my compliments to Aunt.
Your
loving nephew
