Dear Felix,

Thank you for your telephone invitation about the Hyderabad Grand Ball on March 8. I apologize for taking so long to respond; I’ve been trying to work out my schedule. But unfortunately, as it’s turning out, there is simply no way I can be in Vashi at that time.

I hope you’ll give me another opportunity to join you in the coming year.
